Liverpool Beer Festival Trip 2025

Our annual Carnarvon Lodge Beer Social was organised at the Liverpool Beer Festival again this year - held down in the crypt at Liverpool Cathedral. With such a beautiful and interesting venue, a group of friends and hundreds of beers, ciders and ports - what could possibly go wrong!
The morning starts off with a gathering for breakfast at Leyland Tesco's to line the stomach for a day of drinks, laughter and friendship. A short coach trip to Liverpool and we're soon inside the Liverpool Cathedral Crypt with festival glass in hand and beer tokens purchased.
Trying not to be too loud, many conversations and laughing were had in between topping up with the next great or poor choice of drink - the line between the two is very thin at a beer festival but it all adds to the fun.
After a few hours inside at the beer festival, our group headed out into Liverpool and visited the Hope Street Masonic Hall, only a short walk away, for a quick tour before enjoying more drinks in the stylish and busy public bar below the hall.
The coach trip back is always entertaining with a small raffle to raise funds for charity and the day is ended in a local Leyland Pub - which usually attracts new people into the group for the evening part of the social.
